Toni A. Smith, Executive Director

 

Toni is a seasoned nonprofit executive, certified project management professional, and an inspiring speaker with a passion for empowering individuals and organizations to achieve meaningful impact. She has worked at the local and national levels with organizations such as The Forum for Youth Investment, DC Action for Children, and Howard University. Her expertise spans strategic planning, program management, grant administration, and organizational development, and she has led efforts in community organizing, advocacy, and coalition building.

 

Toni has represented the United States at the International Youth Forum in Seoul, appeared on Good Morning America, and has been published nationally and internationally. She holds a Master of Science in Management for Organizational Effectiveness from Marymount University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of the District of Columbia, and she earned her PMP® certification in 2023.

Randi Coward, Director of Programs and Strategic Initiatives

 

Randi is a strategic thinker whose entrepreneurial aspirations led her to gain hands-on experience in education. She has seven years of teaching experience in Prince George’s County Public Schools, where she enjoyed creating engaging, culturally responsive lessons, building relationships, and acting as a servant leader within her school community. She has also served as a Green School Coordinator, leading one of her school’s multiyear recertification processes by increasing staff awareness, gathering evidence, and supporting schoolwide environmental education and student stewardship initiatives.

Randi completed an EdTech Innovation Fellowship at Arizona State University and has worked as a Product Owner at Strayer University.

Nala Dillard, Youth Media & Storytelling Intern

 

Nala is a rising sophomore at Bowie State University, where she is pursuing a degree in Business Administration, with an expected graduation in 2029. She is passionate about communication, leadership, and using social media to drive positive impact.

 

This summer, Nala serves as In Reach’s Youth Media and Storytelling Intern, where she applies her creativity to develop engaging visual content for social media gaining hands-on experience in the nonprofit sector while strengthening her writing, communications, and marketing skills.
