Join Host Madison Harris and intern Solange Muller as they reconvene with Allyson Smith, now a junior at Howard University, and David Hill, now a junior at Harvard College, to reflect on the social justice movement of 2020 one year later.
Allyson is looking forward to further developing and refining her activism capabilities as a fall 2021 Victory Congressional Intern at the Victory Institute.
David is studying Integrative Biology with a Secondary in Economics and enjoys using his skills to find innovative ways to support his community.

S2:E3 Youth Entrepreneurship: An Inspiration to All
Join Host Madison Harris and intern Tolu Dapo-Adeyemo as they sit down with young entrepreneur Aysia Hilliard. Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, Aysia is a college student at Howard University studying biology and chemistry. She came up with her business, TrapStix Lip Balm, in December of 2017, and during the pandemic, the business took off on TikTok. Currently, TrapStix Lip Balm is the only music-inspired lip balm business, and Aysia is working every day to create more and more flavors to add to the collection.

Davonte, class of 2023, attends Howard University and is majoring in Environmental Studies with a minor in Political Science. From Preston, Maryland, Davonte is very passionate about the environment and does his best to inspire a similar passion in everyone around him.

Environmental studies connects principles from the physical sciences, commerce/economics, the humanities, and social sciences to address complex contemporary environmental issues.

Join Host Madison Harris and guest Paige Blake, White House Initiative HBCU Competitiveness Scholar for Bowie State University, as they engage in an uplifting conversation about how she has turned the pain of her chronic medical condition, diagnosed at the age of four, into purpose by serving as an international advocate for individuals with disabilities.
A native of Maryland, Paige is a biology major at Bowie State University. She plans to attend medical school to study Neurology. She has worked with the Congressional Black Caucus and the White House Initiative on African American Excellence to advocate for disabled students. She is also the Undergraduate Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for the University System of Maryland Student Council, where she fights for students’ rights to ensure equity and inclusion for college students across Maryland.

Join Host Madison Harris as she converses with Next Generation Leadership Institute on Reproductive Justice (2020-2022) Fellows Amber Wynne, a senior health science policy administration major, criminal justice minor, attending Hampton University in Hampton, VA, and Nina Clinton, a senior attending Lincoln University in Pennsylvania. The Next Generation Leadership Institute is a paid two-year fellowship that serves as a formal pipeline for training young Black women, of all identities, from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) to become Reproductive Justice leaders.
